The Plan: Volunteers to help clean external facade of Denso Hall and heritage buildings facing Marriott Road.

Each Saturday 12 students from a university will be sent where along with the foundation, students would be required to do what they can to bring the buildings towards a better state of condition. This will require, painting, Photography, cleaning, rearranging, gardening etc.

This program is only for Saturday’s for student convenience. And on completion of 20 hours of community service (during 4 to 5 visits) participants will be awarded certificates of acknowledgment. This could be a great plus on your resume!

3.     Karachi Grammar School has been the champions for 4 years running.

Ajmal Husain (also known as “The Man of Many Arts”) was the first Pakistani artist to show his work in Germany in 1952. Since then over 100 of his exhibitions were shown all around the world.

His latest series of painting is described as “Fusion”. In this series he has used seven different mediums. The composition of the paintings is a mixture of geometric forms, abstract symbolism dominated by figurative forms.

At the age of 80, Ajmal Hussain maintains the spirit of the classical easel painting in its truest form and practices it with conviction.

This is his first solo exhibition in Pakistan after 1986.

Because Pandora's atmosphere is toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which human "drivers" have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely-controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. These avatars are genetically engineered hybrids of human DNA mixed with DNA from the natives of Pandora... the Na'vi.

Reborn in his avatar form, Jake can walk again. He is given a mission to infiltrate the Na'vi, who have become a major obstacle to mining the precious ore. But a beautiful Na'vi female, Neytiri, saves Jake's life, and this changes everything. Jake is taken in by her clan, and learns to become one of them, which involves many tests and adventures. As Jake's relationship with his reluctant teacher Neytiri deepens, he learns to respect the Na'vi way and finally takes his place among them. Avec sa mère, Jérôme maintient difficilement en vie l’exploitation familiale. Alors un matin, il part en ville chercher du travail.

Il se lie d’amitié avec un clochard fort en gueule, "La Chignole", et trouve un emploi aux services techniques de la mairie : assister Lucien, employé municipal, pour accrocher les guirlandes lumineuses à l’approche des fêtes de fin d’année.

Mais très vite apparaît un autre aspect de sa "mission" : la municipalité fait appliquer des arrêtés anti-mendicité pour nettoyer le centre ville commerçant pendant les fêtes…

Ustad Zafar Ali Khan received vocal training from the age of 6 by his father, Ustad Qudrat Ali Khan. His vocal repertoire includes khayal, thumri, dadra, ghazal, geet and kaafi. He is well-versed in the tabla and harmonium, and his compositions have featured in the media, including films, television and radio.

A piece of paper, a dozen fingers, a little bit of imagination, and you will master this ancestral Art born in China and developed in Japan where its name was given : “oru” (to fold) and “kami” (paper).

Origami is one of the most poetic and creative form of Art, and probably the only one accessible to everyone.

It is also considered, since the beginning of the 19th century and the creation of nursery schools, as an important pedagogic tool for children’s self development .

At the end of the course, you will have the necessary knowledge to join the incredibly vast origami community and, why not, to create your own models.

Introduction

This introductory course deals with the question, "What is art?" In the process, we will look at how art is made, what art’s function is, how we categorize it, and what values we place on it. The course intends to have a global approach to art as art yields many answers that change from culture to culture. What remains clear is that art is a uniquely human phenomenon.
