Synopsis: Kashmir... once known as a paradise on earth, it is now a playground of Devils. From high ranking army and police officers to the militants and their supporters, everyone gets the piece of the pie.

The Military Intelligence gets a whiff of a plot that is likely to disrupt and possibly paralyze Kashmir. Vikram is sent to investigate this highly confidential mission using the identity of Gul Jehangir. The same day that he lands in the valley, Haji a top separatist leader, survives a blast. Could there be a connection between the blast and the operation?

To solve this conundrum, Vikram teams up with Aziza, Haji's young, aggressive and outspoken protégée. Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.

The magnitude of haphazard urbanization in our areas is posing a

serious challenge to the planners, policy makers and concerned citizens.

The major sufferers of this situation are low income peoples especially

in housing sectors. The housing needs of the low income urbanites are

not properly catered for by the formal land delivery system thus

resulting in the growth of slums and informal settlements. What are the

major factors behinds this neglect? What land delivery system can

suffice the housing needs of most of the urbanites? These and some

other related questions we are going to discuss in the forth coming

Annual Urban Forum and showcasing Kuda ki Basti - 4, Kala Shah Kaku, a

model housing project first of its type in Punjab solving the housing

requirements of low income people.

It’s true that that majority of the gypsies are quite competent in performing art and in making traditional toys and in needlework but none of the state institution is ready to cope with the issue of their social alienation. However, entirety of the civil society groups acknowledges the richness of their culture and skills. Undoubtedly, the gypsies of our area are pretty much capable of performing arts, such as singing, dancing, theater performance and puppet shows. The gypsy men and women, both are used to perform in the streets for the entertainment of the general masses but we never thought about the promotion of gypsy culture and trade. This year too, in the month of October, a weeklong gypsy mella is going to take place at national level. The said mella is being organized in the premises of Al-Hamra Cultural Complex, Lahore, where the gypsies from all over Pakistan would perform dances, stage play and puppet shows, not just for the entertainment of the participants but for the revelation of their socio-political and economic issues. GODH would manage an exhibition of hand-made products of the gypsy women, for the sake of finding the business opportunities and for the promotion of small enterprises for the welfare of gypsy community. The women, moved away from their age and the time they were physically fit, try to combat their physicality and appearance. There is an absurdity in the very act of trying to put themselves under slots of ‘HOT’, ‘SEXY’, ‘DESIRABLE’.
Most fail. Some succeed.
The body of drawings presents women who are comfortable with what they are, some are very carefully hiding through fashion rules while most stand at a cross point of innocence, desire and failed attempts.

Born 1984 in Patna, India. Vidha Saumya completed her BFA (painting) from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai (2005) and a Diploma in Visual Communication Design from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru (2008). In 2007 Vidha was a recipient of South Asia Foundation Scholarship for an Independent Study Programme at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. She has shown works at the Alliance Francaise, Lahore and Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke, Mumbai, where her next solo opens in May 2010.
